Character information
Name: Killian Jones. Went by Captain Hook a long time ago.
Age: Pretty close to 400 now. He doesn't remember exactly.
Date of Birth: He stopped celebrating it and forgot when it was. Sometime early in the year. He lies about his birthday pretty frequently, but none of them are right.
Canon: Once Upon a Time
Species: Vampire. I chose this one because Hook is very old in AU and was trapped in a world where he didn't age. Vampirism seemed to suit him best.
Role: Islington Nest or Circle Midnight. More or less flits in and out as he sees fit to keep his ear to the ground, but gets along with most and seems almost politically favorable intentionally.
Rank: 3. He's older and established, and has had plenty of time as a vampire to climb the ranks, what with 350+ years to get his ducks in a row.
Background:Killian Jones was born to a common man, the second of two boys. His mother died shortly after he was born, and when he was around eight his father abandoned both his boys on the family fishing vessel, absconding from punishment and capture for his thievery. Liam, Killians brother, left him in the charge of a family to join the navy and earn enough to take care of both of them. The family took his brother's money but sent Killian out as soon as they were able, and he was forced to learn to survive on his own. He charmed, stole, and manipulated; he was quick to memorize what buttons to press to earn the most sympathy as his fingers dipped in pockets and he slipped from the grasp of guards.
As soon as he was old enough to pass, he joined the Navy in attempts of finding his brother. He was shoehorned into a gentleman, climbed a few ranks on his own before his brother pulled some strings and had him promoted to a role on the same ship, where Liam had gotten the role of first mate. He was granted captaincy shortly after and Killian served as his navigator and leftenant. It was one of the best times in his life, but was cut short when his brother was given orders to sail against a large opposing force, told that reinforcements would close from the rear in a surprise attack. Killian pleaded for his brother to abscond, feeling it was a trap, but Liam's faith in the King and his orders left him blind. It was a distraction, a suicide mission, and the ship was boarded and the captain killed by the opposing forces to send a message to the crew. Killian was devastated, but led his men through a short period of compliance until they overthrew the imposters and claimed the ship again. Killian refused to go back to the crown that had his brother killed, and was one of the first pirates. He ruthlessly attacked the English Navy to try to earn vengeance for the brother he lost, using the guise of a friendly ship to get close and devastate vessels they came upon, though casualties were few, considering how much was stolen and damage done.
He lived as a pirate for some years before he met a married woman in a quiet seaside town. She wanted adventure and freedom, told him of abuse she endured by her cowardly husband, and begged him to take her away. Even knowing the son he was taking her from he did. He fell in love with her deeply, and they had less than a year to sail together. Killian convinced Milah to turn back for her son and eventually agreed. A mistake; her cowardly husband had accumulated unbelievable, inhuman strength. He murdered her and cut off Killian's hand as punishment. The pirate was only able to sink a hook into the creatures chest but he vowed he'd never rest until he got his revenge. He went by Captain Hook, and wore the weapon at his wrist in replacement for his hand.
He had a new mission, to find a way to capture enough strength to kill the inhumanly powered monster. During his exploring, a storm knocked him from the Jolly Roger, and he was unintentionally marooned on a very odd island. He met a boy gone mad that ruled a host of boys he'd intentionally trapped there, and a very strange woman that called herself Bell. They grew close on the island, and together crafted a tiny vessel to escape it. They made it to safety and bid each other farewell, bittersweet as it was.
After leaving her, Hook found his crew and returned to England, hearing of an immortal race whispered in quiet pubs that feasted on blood to preserve themselves. He was desperate for an answer to keep him from aging, and after years of searching managed to find a vampire. He feigned affection for her, explained his plight, and eventually she turned him. He spent a great deal of time with her, and she taught him how to exist and how to survive. How to use his newfound abilities and what they could grant him. He spent some years with her, but eventually he gained freedom to continue his attempt at revenge.
He spent the rest of his years continuing piracy, gaining a great degree of infamy for his nightly attacks and his odd consideration for ‘good form’. As piracy died out Captain Hook disappeared, stowing away his riches as he needed and finding a new place in the world. He devoted his time to finding some answer to destroying the man that had killed Milah, and trying to blend in with society. He ran into the girl he’d met on the island again, and she instantly knew what he was and how he’d changed. She was incensed with him for it but they grew close again despite it. He saw her more often than he saw his sire, eventually learning that she was a fairy and just as ageless as he. She gave him a ring to preserve him in sunlight but he didn’t ask her to be a part of his vengeance. His sire was still in his life as well, coaching him through the ranks of vampires based in London, helping him climb the ranks which he did, while making connections of his own. He traveled frequently, sometimes with his sire, mostly with the fairy he met on the island, learning different customs and cultures while all the while trying to find an answer to his revenge.
Now, he is mostly posted in London. He’s fairly influential as vampires go, though it’s well known that he’s loyal to his sire. It’s not known at all that he has a connection in the fae, and nobody can know; it’s his most intently guarded secret. Little know of his past as Captain Hook, as vampirism restored his lost hand and he’s certainly not seen on his ship, but many know of his desire for a powerful blade that supposedly holds the power of the man he has vowed to take vengeance on.

Personality:
Powers & Possessions:
Powers: As outlined here, he has the powers of all vampires. He's nearly four hundred so he's decently strong, too.
Samples:
World building
Locations: The Jolly Roger is a pirate themed bar that is fairly lucrative and successful. Hook is a silent owner, and invites most of his supernatural friends there. Word is there's a back room that allows supernatural types a bit of freedom in a more public setting but you'd need an invite to know that for sure.
